Pareto’s Principle
While most projects are an assembly of familiar materials, processes and components, no two projects are identical. Pareto’s Principle states that 80% of the results are generated by 20% of the actions. Accordingly, 20% of the results then require the other 80% of the actions.
If this principle is applied to a typical design and construction project, 80% of a project can be readily defined and achieved based on technical competence and efficient skill. However, technical ability and efficiency are only part of what is required for a successful project. The unique elements of a project, the 20%, must also be properly accounted for to ensure the best possible outcome.
The success of ThYNK design is built upon our ability to identify, define and address the unique aspects of every project to ensure that 80% of the project’s potential is not compromised. While we value the importance of technical competence and efficiency, we continually work to refine our system for creating exceptional projects. We strive to cultivate the mindset that every project can be something greater.
